Since i received my CitizenCard in 2008 it has made me have a new feeling of identity as wherever i go i can use not only to prove my age but my identity as well.

As your card was issued before March 2009, you will need to apply as a new applicant, you can do this by using our online application using the link below:

Applications should be obtainable in most Supermarkets, Post Offices, Newsagents and places that sell age restricted products, however if you are having trouble getting hold of one you can always apply online using the following link:

http://www.citizencard.com/ipr/online-application-home.htm Health Visitors may act as a Route 1 verifier which means that as well as the application and the photo they will also need to countersign a form of your ID such as your Birth Certificate, NHS Medical Card, Passport, Photo Drivers Licence or National Identity card.

The £9 charge applies to an old application form printed before 2009. You can still use that form but current application forms online and offline all impose a standard £15 charge.

Virgin Holidays offers discounts to all new CitizenCard cardholders (those who've obtained our new card issued since 1st March 2011. The offer is detailed in our discount website which can be accessed by all holders of the new CitizenCard. If you received a CitizenCard before 1st March 2011 you will need to upgrade to the new card which you can do at www.citizencard.com/ipr/upgrade.html .
